New Breed of Airline Terrorists Suck Their Thumbs

In another case of what appears to be a growing trend, and hopefully a volley against the growing obnoxious 'mommy culture; another screaming/annoying child and clueless mother have been ordered off an airline due to the kid's erratic behavior.

Will the media spin and slant this story to the mother's favor? You bet, and it's already begun. Good Morning America and NBC's Today Show both covering the story and carefully challenging the Continental Airlines flight attendant's decision to remove the mother and child. But the issue transcends the Gwinnett, GA woman's case in which she and her 19-month old little boy were removed from the plan after being asked to quiet the child. The woman alleges she was asked to give the boy medication and when she refused to medicate the kid so that the other passengers could have a peaceful flight, the plane was turned around on the tarmac, headed to the gate and the woman removed.

Could this be another case of an over-zealous air waitress abusing her authority? Very possibly so. Chances are however the woman's kid was being incredibly disruptive and annoying: and of course in today's culture of Oprah and Diane Sawyer telling mommies they and their kids come before anything or anyone, standing up for yourself against rabid parents is a serious no-no. I'm picking the flight attendant's side on this one.
